Thrombolysis, a life-saving treatment used to break down blood clots in stroke, must be given within 4.5 hours of stroke onset. But if a patient wakes up with a stroke, how do we know if we can treat them? Prof Vincent Thijs discusses how MRI could provide a solution for these patients.
